See that girl?
You might think that she LOVES being in front of the camera--that she is TOTALLY used to wearing makeup under the lights--that she LIVES for these moments...
When I tell people that I actually HATE getting my picture taken they think I'm lying--because I TAKE so many pictures and because Social Media is such a HUGE part of what I do. The thing is: I love taking selfies! I like being in CONTROL of how I look and what the picture comes out as and I like to have moments where I take a break and laze around with my tummy out (ha!)
But if I took that attitude and decided that beCAUSE I don't LIKE to do something--I WON'T do it--then my entire life would look much differently and NOT in a good way. Life is uncomfortable: GOOD being uncomfortable is what CHANGES us and MOLDS us. It helps us to be BETTER and is helps us to see where our MENTAL limitations don't SERVE us.
So you GOTTA fake it.
When you're feeling nervous or uncomfortable--tell yourself and everyone around you that you aren't--because your THOUGHTS drive your ACTIONS. Get out there and just TRY. Have a sense of SELF when you try new things.
Don't be afraid to be afraid but access the part of you that might actually LOVE what you're doing. Access the braver part of yourself that knows that all experiences are wroth giving your whole self to.
Access the faker.
We're ALL doing it out here. I promise you. Even the people you think NEVER get scared or sad or uncomfortable--we ALL do--it's up to YOU to let go of the fear and dive into the fake so that the FAKE beCOMES authentic.
